Emma Wimhurst

Emma Wimhurst is a Motivational Business Speaker, Author, Mentor and Entrepreneur.
Emma’s right to be in the Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame comes from the success of her biggest enterprise to date – Diva Cosmetics.  Diva was founded after Emma spotted a gap in the market place for colour cosmetics for teenagers at the height of The Spice Girl’s Fame in the last 1990s.  Following a 10-year career at Revlon, Emma seized the opportunity to nurse her entrepreneurial itch and Diva Cosmetics was born.   The business rapidly became the leading supplier of own label colour cosmetics and gift sets to the majority of High Street Chains including New Look,  Monsoon Accessorize, River Island,  Claires Accessories,  BHS and George@Asda.   Emma is an original Mumpreneur, starting Diva from her kitchen table with her first born on her hip.   The business rapidly grew to accommodate a full-time team of twelve with offices in central Bournemouth

Emma now inspires, motivates and enables business owners to transform their businesses from “whisper to BOOM!” by sharing her business story in an approachable,  engaging and contagiously-energetic style through her speaking and through her highly-successful book, BOOM! 7 disciplines to CONTROL, GROW and ADD IMPACT to your business (November 2009, Diva Publishing Ltd).   Emma is a regular contributor to the media and was one of the featured Big Shot Entrepreneurs in the 2009 series of Beat The Boss presented by Saira Khan. Emma lives in Dorset with her husband Mark and her three children – Will, Charlie and Hattie.

Session: Learn how to take your business from a whisper to BOOM! Emma Wimhurst will be sharing the secrets of her success and show you how you can do it too!  It’s not rocket science, just good business sense. During Emma’s session you will discover:

Zoe Hanks

Zoe Hanks
Zoe Hanks founded Grassroots Ideas Ltd in 2008. Zoe’s background in international Marketing, Branding, Communications and PR – along with her ‘glass half full’ attitude to life and good sense of fun – delivers real tangible results to the businesses and individuals she works with. Zoe has worked with some high-profile leading brands around the world – including Sun Microsystems, Porsche, Le Coq Sportif and Adidas – and after a 6 year stint out in Dubai, has settled back home in the UK.

Working in male dominated markets and industries only served to confirm Zoe’s belief that marketers should ignore the force of females at their peril… Outside of work, Zoe likes to test out her negotiation skills on a daily basis with her 3 year old son (although he usually wins hand down!).

Session: ‘Define Yourself’ What does your personal brand say about you?
You may not know it – but you already have a brand. YOU! As Jeff Bezos – the founder of Amazon once said “Your brand is what people say about you when you are not in the room”. ‘Define Yourself’ aims to uncover and identify your Unique Selling Point (USP) that will set you apart from your competition and define your pathway to success...
